Biography:
Justin Newman was raised in Leonard, Minnesota. In 1996, he moved to Bemidji, where he remained until graduating from Bemidji State University in 2007. At BSU, he studied philosophy with a particular interest in the ancient philosophies of Plato and Aristotle.

Justin graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2010. Through the law school, he practiced as a student attorney at the Workers’ Rights Clinic. His clinical work focused on the discovery and mediation aspects of litigation. Justin also had the opportunity to extern with the Honorable Ann L. Alton in the Fourth District Court, Hennepin County. Through his externship, he gained valuable insight into the judicial process and effective lawyering.

Prior to joining Hazelton Law Firm, Justin was a law clerk at Central Minnesota Legal Services in St. Cloud, MN, where he assisted in providing free legal services to indigent persons. His work focused on helping victims of religious discrimination.

Like most Minnesotans, Justin enjoys fishing and canoeing. He also enjoys riding motorcycles and building computers.
