Mangled Foot in Unguarded Crane Mechanism
This crane was desgined with an unguarded large fly-wheel type mechanism in an area where the crane operator would often have to work. The crane company claimed this was not abnormal for the era in which the crane was manufactured decades earlier. We were able to determine that not a single other crane manufacturer at that time had left their fly-wheel mechanisms unguarded and that the design was clearly defective.
