Will the at-fault driver's insurance company pay for a rental car?

A: In addition to being responsible for the damage caused your car, the at-fault driver is also responsible for the reasonable loss of use value of your car while it is being repaired. The reasonable loss of use value is typically considered the reasonable cost to rent a vehicle. The at fault driver's insurance carrier should include this cost in any offer they make to you.
