When a bar or liquor store sells alcohol to a preson who is already intoxicated it is legally responsible for the harm caused by an intoxicated person. Also, the family of the intoxicated person has a claim for "loss of means of support" if the intoxicated person is seriously injured or killed. The Minnesota Liquor Liability Book was written by attorney Gary M. Hazelton to educate people about their rights when they suffer loss when bars overserve.
